A new scheme has started here in the UK that makes the old and empty buildings that the recession had its way with seem like they are not only open but full and looking great. The reason behind this is not to make people think the shop is real and try to walk inside ( I do love it when this happens though) it is to help the companies in the area to get business back on track.
At the moment it is really only being used in one high street but it seems to be working and because it is such a cheap and easy thing to do it is being considered for the rest of the country. (more…)

Spring is most certainly on the way there is no doubt about that but it is still very cold out there so when people go and sit down in a restaurant they expect to be warm. If you are planning on going out to a restaurant in the middle of winter surely you are going to be expecting the place to be nice and warm?
The thing is, so many of these top restaurants do not have things like portable heaters or even a simple fan heater. (more…)

The recession is apparently over but so many companies are still being very careful on hiring people and will only do so if they really have too. The news broke a couple of weeks ago that the recession was actually over but is the case and if so who is it we need to go over and kick ass to? Well the fact is that we will not see the true end to the recession for a number of months even though officially it is over here in the UK there are still so many businesses out there that will continue to suffer because of a few people that comeplely made a mess of the worlds money.

The recession is something that destroyed the economy there is no doubt about that but the real fact is that it had to happen.
This is the way that it all works and because of the huge boom that lasted such a long period of time a huge recession was bound to hit the world hard sooner or later. The recession has taken a huge toll on the world and it was very unexpected by much of the world, some of the business sectors sensed it was coming and still prepared badly for it. (more…)

Recent reports have stated that only 1 out of 5 businesses are confident that they are going to have a good year this year and this is obviously still do to with the recession.
The recession does seem to be on the mend but there are still many certain places and in fact sectors that are in trouble, the biggest being business. So many banks are still refusing to lend and this is a big reason behind businesses not doing too well. (more…)

There are many companies that have suffered closures this year, some bigger than others but what are the reasons behind this?
Woolworths PLC
Well as a former member of the group I must say that I know exactly why the company closed and part of it was indeed down to the poor fixed asset accounting that the company had been doing. Woolies (as the public knew them by) were a huge company and they failed because of the idiots running it. (more…)
