In 2009 there were over 650,000 complaints in the UK from people who were unhappy with their second-hand car deals. If you are very conscious about the environment and the effect your car has on it, you will be pleased to know that there are now stickers available for used cars that will give you an indication of the car’s fuel economy. In November last year, a scheme was introduced which involves colour coded labels being applied to used cars with green being the best and red being the worst. The UK government scrappage scheme has been a huge success but it is due to end next month. This scheme allowed owners of used cars older than ten years to get £2000 off the price of any new car they bought.
